Presently, there is no button in the Maps app to create a new item. This means that a user has to go the long way around to via another app (board, list, workspace etc.) to create a new item.
Can this be added to the Maps app, possibly as a blue button on the lower lefthand side.

Thanks for this idea, I very pleased to say that this will be coming very soon to the maps app. I've attached the below screen grab from te 2.74 version of Alloy (next release) showing the Create Item FAB button at the bottom.
