Currently when viewing an item one can run a system report on that item such as 'activity by asset' report or 'item report', however one does not have the option to run a custom report. The request is to be able to select a custom report to run directly from the report menu under the individual item.

This seems a sensible idea (Run out of votes tough so hoping my comment counts for something!). You could assign different reports to different things, like jobs, so that only relevant ones are shown for the certain item.
