Currently on the system when you have a design open you have to go through a multi-step process to get a view of items for that design (either via search menu or data explorer), and you also need the search menu for going from an item to the design it is based on (assuming you know the design already).
It is common when working with the system to switch back and forth between a design and items of the design to understand how a design is working in practice and how it should be changed.
Another use case is opening an item and having no idea what exact design it belongs to / originates from in order to check or change attributes or other config. This is not always easy to determine.
It should be quick and easy to navigate between items and designs, and/or they should be viewable together.
Example solution:
From the burger menu on a design, you could select "view items" to bring up the items for that design in the data explorer, with all top-level attributes that are not all unset already in the column fields. And from each item, you could click a link to go to the parent design, in the same way you can go from attributes to the parent dodis.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion, there are a couple of ways to achieve this already (not to say it can't be improved).
1: Switching from Design to Items
From the Item click the 'General' tab to open the tab switcher -> select the 'Settings' tab -> click the 'D' icon next to the Design name.
2: Switching from Items to Design
From the Design click the 'General' tab to open the tab switcher -> select the 'Collections' tab -> click the Data Explore icon next to ‘Live’ to see all items in the Live collection.
The link above the title to go from Item to Design is a good one - the trouble is this is reserved for navigating from child items up to parents (currently it only applies if the child can only have one parent – like styles and layers). In future, we'd like to extend this to all children and navigating up from Bin to Premises seems like something that users would do more frequently than Bin to Bin Design.
