More options for file extensions when creating reports

When creating reports there are currently only 2 options for file extensions (*.pdf or *.csv). It would be helpful to have more options, in particular *.asc.

An example of why this is required is the Street Lighting energy extract report. Our energy supplier's process requires us to send the energy extract file with a *.asc extension. The energy extract file is currently created with a *.csv extension so we have to manually unzip the file and rename it to *.asc before emailing to the supplier which is cumbersome.

Ideally we want to automate the whole process by scheduling the report to be run each month and email the energy extract (as *.asc) to the supplier; however the file extension restriction is preventing this. Other authorities with the same energy supplier would benefit from the enhancement.

Hi, The Street Lighting Account Extract .asc file is a fixed format file that is available as a standard report as this report cannot be customised. As this format is specific to account extracts, it isn't applicable to any other area and so we are unable to add it as a standard export format. If you are unable to use the standard Account Extract Report, please do let us know via a support ticket. Thanks
